The National Georgraphic Explorer is the perfect vessel to venture into the Arctic north in search of wildlife and to observe first hand the impact of a warming planet.  The quickly changing landscape is having a direct impact on the animals in this region.  The mega-fauna here, like polar bears and walrus, are not the only species effected by the environmental shifts, smaller plants and animals are also adapting to survive in these changing conditions.
