Our first stop in Borneo was at the Sukau Rainforest Lodge, one of the National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World. We were treated to jungle-shrouded rivers, spectacular cave systems and rain forests teeming with rare species. After several days of exploring the jungle waterways by boat, we moved to the National Geographic Orion on a trip along the coast of Borneo - stopping to snorkel at pristine reefs and looking for iconic orangutans, proboscis monkeys, pygmy elephants and other extraordinary animals that make Borneo one of the most unique wildlife destinations in the world.
